Douglas Neff Joins Cognosante as Chief Information Officer

FALLS CHURCH, VA. – March 7, 2019 – Cognosante, a leader in health information technology solutions and services for Federal and state public health agencies, today announced the appointment of Douglas Neff as Chief Information Officer (CIO). With more than 30 years of experience, 15 of which have been served in CIO roles, Neff will be responsible for leading Cognosante’s corporate information systems, information technology (IT) service management, information security, data center, and compliance functions.

Inspired by Cognosante’s mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system, Neff states, “I’m delighted to be joining the Cognosante team.”

Neff comes to Cognosante from MicroStrategy, where he served as CIO for almost four years driving all aspects of corporate IT, security, and compliance. Under his leadership, MicroStrategy migrated to a myriad of new cloud-based applications for email, voice, intranet, sales force automation, professional services automation, IT service management, applicant tracking, and human capital management. Additionally, Doug built and staffed the MicroStrategy Intelligence Center enabling MicroStrategy to run analytics and mobility operations on the latest releases of its software.

Prior to MicroStrategy, Neff spent more than a decade as CIO at ePlus leading IT strategy, e-commerce, information security, applications, infrastructure, compliance, and risk management initiatives. His deep industry knowledge, educational background, and demonstrated history of delivering results will ensure engaging support experiences for Cognosante customers.
