Habitat project aims to help Veteran

From March 30 through April 1, Dan McQuay, John Zorich, and Tracey Brown Jones, all team members at BITS, a Cognosante Company, traded their pens and pencils for hammers and nails to help build a home for a deserving Veteran.

The three were part of a team of about 50 volunteers who participated in the Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity “Veterans Build” effort, part of a national initiative by Habitat for Humanity to provide housing solutions and volunteer and employment opportunities to U.S. Veterans, military service members, and their families.

The BITS team members worked on all aspects of the home, including framing, roofing, siding, exterior doors, windows, and landscaping. Watch a video from the first day’s work by clicking here.
