Final Salute Inc., a nonprofit that seeks to provide homeless women Veterans and their children with safe and suitable housing, was in the middle of renovating a transitional home when it ran into some unexpected issues. Structural, zoning, and permitting challenges created a need for an additional $150,000 to get the home up to code and help with temporary lodging for its residents.
Cognosante stepped up to the plate and in three weeks raised more than $7,700, all of which was to be matched by executives, to help the charity with its needs.
