Cognosante Tasked by CMS with Creation of Consumer Help Center for Complex Health Insurance Eligibility and Enrollment Cases

MCLEAN, Va. – October. 4, 2016 – Cognosante announced today its selection by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to create a Complex Case Help Center (CCHC) where caseworkers will help resolve complex enrollment issues with Marketplace health plans. The CCHC provides additional support to CMS for consumers whose eligibility and enrollment needs cannot be resolved through Marketplace call centers and other existing means.

The CCHC will enable CMS to enhance the consumer experience by more quickly and effectively resolving particularly complex cases. Cognosante will apply its vast experience with Affordable Care Act (ACA) policies, operations, systems, and data to enhance current Marketplace case management and analytics systems, enabling CCHC agents to effectively analyze the data needed to assist consumers.

“Cognosante is invested in continually improving the consumer experience within the Marketplace,” said Davis Foster, President, Health Data and Communications, Cognosante. “We look forward to applying our capabilities to the creation of the CCHC and to helping ensure that all consumers, especially those with complex needs, can access the health services available to them.”
