Cognosante Hires Len Discenza as Senior Vice President, Health Analytics and Integration

MCLEAN, VA. – March 3, 2014 – Cognosante, a leading provider of Consulting, IT, and BPO services to healthcare organizations, announced the hiring of Len Discenza as SVP and General Manager, Health Analytics and Integration. In this role, he will oversee Cognosante’s product and services business in health data standards; health marketplace solutions; fraud, waste, and abuse; intelligent health information delivery; and advanced analytics.

Throughout his 20-year career, Mr. Discenza has held numerous technical operations leadership roles, with a primary focus on business growth. Before joining Cognosante, he was the Senior Vice President of Business Development at NCI, where he oversaw all sales activities for NCI’s DOD, Civilian, and Health pursuits. Prior to NCI, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Vangent, Inc., where he drove growth for Vangent’s health and civilian business units. Len was also a Senior Principal and Technical Director for SRA International, Inc.’s Health business unit, where he led several successful sales efforts for Civilian and Health agencies and was responsible for technical solution development, capture and proposal management, and program oversight. In 2006, Len received SRA’s Excellence Award, one of two employees of a 5,000 person company to be so honored.
