Cognosante Hires Erick Peters as Vice President, Solutions and Engineering

MCLEAN, VA. – June 20, 2014 – Cognosante, a leading provider of Consulting, Technology, and BPO services to healthcare organizations, has announced the hiring of Mr. Erick Peters as Vice President of Solutions and Engineering.  In this role, Erick will focus on Health Information Technology solution development and technology innovation, with a focus on Cognosante’s Health Analytics and Integration practice.

Erick is a technology-focused professional with extensive senior leadership experience, having served the past few years as LongView International Technology Solutions’ Chief Technology Officer. He brings decades of IT experience in Technology Innovation, Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Solution Delivery, supplemented by a ten-year focus on Health Information Technology. He previously served as the Vice President of Architecture and Technology for Vangent, Inc. and has dedicated his career to driving company growth through innovation and the delivery of complex solutions for schedule-constrained, high-risk environments.

Erick, a Navy Veteran and Nuclear Power School Graduate, received his B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State College (NJ). He was also awarded an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and is a member of the International Honor Society for business school graduates, Beta Gamma Sigma.
