Born and raised in Northern, Virginia, Hammad Khan is a senior business information technology major at Virginia Tech, where he has a concentration in operation supply chain management. He plans to graduate in May of 2020.
Khan decided to spend his summer with Cognosante because of its commitment to revolutionizing the healthcare industry, which he believes is very important in today’s world, especially in the United States. Hammad works in the Cognosante Performance Center filtering reports and dashboards (primarily in Power BI) to make them more easily accessible as well as making base templates for future work. This summer, he’s focused on learning more about the relationship between data information systems and how Cognosante improves health outcomes around the US.
Outside of work, Khan has an avid interest in music. He enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, and in school he is a part of an organization that puts on concerts and brings in well-known performers.
