Denny Katona is a member of Cognosante’s Military and Veterans Health (MVH) team. As a technical project manager on the VA Cloud Operations and Migration Services (COMS) project, he leads the teams responsible for building out VA application infrastructure in the Cloud.
A Veteran himself, Denny is dedicated to serving Veterans both in and outside of the workplace. In 2016, he became founder and CEO of O.P. Veteran, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving veteran support systems.
One of the ways the organization fulfills its mission is through its annual Spring Kickoff event. O.P. Veteran selects a worthy veteran nonprofit with a robust veteran program and executes a fundraising and awareness campaign centered around it. This year, O.P. Veteran selected the HARTH Foundation, which helps to combat PTSD through its Veteran Equine Therapy program.
Cognosante contributed $1,000 to this important cause. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the May 2, 2020 public event was repurposed as a virtual telethon. Utilizing live musical performances and pre-recorded videos, the telethon was broadcasted across multiple platforms, and resulted in the presentation of a beneficiary package valued at $10,000 to the HARTH Foundation.
O.P. Veteran is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building veteran support systems through mentorship, awareness campaigns, fellowship activities, and more. O.P. Veteran connects Veterans to services, volunteer opportunities, and to each other.
Game-changing. Relentless. Passionate. Cognosante produces powerful results for our customers and the communities they serve.
