Why did you choose Cognosante’s Internship Program?
My passion for leveraging data and technology to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector drew me to Cognosante. I value community and collaboration, aligning perfectly with Cognosante’s mission to enhance public health and well-being. My dedication to economic equality, mobility, and women’s empowerment began in high school with the founding of Kafalat-e-Niswan, an organization focused on addressing period poverty in Pakistan. At Hollins University, I continued this work by promoting sustainable menstrual health practices with Planned Parenthood. Now, at Cognosante, I am excited about my team’s Cognosante Cares project to support Girls Who Code, which aligns with my passion for using technology to drive positive social change. What are your career aspirations after this internship?
This internship has inspired me to pursue a career in project management. I have gained a deeper understanding of governance, including how to establish project governance frameworks and report structures.
What is your advice for prospective interns?
Do not limit yourself to your chosen field of study. Be open-minded, observe, and be ready to learn and face challenges amidst the process.
