MCLEAN, Va. – April 28, 2016 – Cognosante today announced that Rebecca Bruno has joined the firm as a Director with its Solutions Lab. Having spent the past decade analyzing and advising on policy related to Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) at the federal, state, and local levels, Rebecca will now apply her experience to the design and enhancement of Cognosante’s customer-oriented solutions.

Previously, Rebecca was a technical director and health insurance specialist with the Division of Eligibility and Enrollment in the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services under the auspices of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Her work at the Center, where she also worked as a health insurance specialist, was focused on issues related to Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, verification requirements, Affordable Care Act implementation, premiums, and cost sharing.
Rebecca has held management and health policy analyst positions for such organizations as Physicians for Social Responsibility; the DC Department of Health Care Finance, Healthcare Policy and Planning Administration; and Families USA. She holds a Masters in Political Management from The George Washington University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.
