Cognosante, a mission-driven technology company, has been awarded a Defense Health Agency Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract to provide knowledge translation services and research and development support to the Department of Defense.
The $10 billion Defense Health Agency Omnibus contract vehicle is intended to enhance warfighter health and readiness by effectively integrating the latest medical knowledge and solutions into the Military Health System. The current iteration, Omnibus IV, builds upon the work of its predecessors by specifically addressing translation science, a specialty field focused on transitioning research into practice. The award positions Cognosante to pursue task orders as a prime contractor under Market Segment 4: Translational Science Support and Services and as a subcontractor for both Market Segment 4 and Market Segment 2: Research and Development Support Services.

Cognosante currently provides support to the Defense Health Agency Implementation Science Branch in addition to supporting enterprise-wide implementation of high reliability organization principles and practices across the Veterans Health Administration.
