Born and raised in Loudoun County Virginia, Lauryn Forbes is a junior at Howard University. She is a Broadcast Journalism major, History minor with a planned graduation date of May 2021.
Forbes chose to spend her summer as an analyst at Cognosante because she admired Cognosante’s dedication to innovation, giving back, and creating a better landscape for healthcare. During her time here, she is working in the Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) department, and is currently working on revitalizing CogTalks, an educational podcast series in which she will be interviewing various members of the company. This summer, she hopes to learn more about how her journalism skills are applicable in other creative arenas such as content marketing and refine her overall communications skills in formats beyond journalism.
When she’s not working, Forbes is an avid writer, both journalistic and creative. At school, she is a writer for Her Campus, an online magazine for College women. She also enjoys reading and taking pictures and filming video.
