Born and raised here in Fairfax, Virginia, Anna Lam is a senior biomedical engineering student. She attends the University of Virginia and plans to graduate in the Spring of 2020.
She chose to work at Cognosante for the summer because she really resonates with the mission, and likes being able to work with the latest technology and IT while at the same time making an impact on the healthcare system. During her time here, she is working on the software development team, under the CTO. So far, she has been learning how to use JavaScript to create platforms for users in the health IT industry to more easily access patient information and HIE systems. Along with this, she is hoping to learn a lot of programming and looking forward to coming out of this program with experience working on a team.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and going out with friends. A self-described “simple person” she also enjoys taking naps and watching TV.
