As Vice President of Consulting Services, Ken helps lead the company’s delivery of health information technology consulting services to state human service agencies. He has over 30 years of Medicaid program and system management experience. He leads a team of four directors, managing staffing and recruiting, quality, technology and solution development. He also serves as the account executive for three states.
In his five years at Cognosante, he has managed projects for conducting Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0 State Self-Assessments, planning and procurement, and overseeing several state Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) assessments with multiple MMIS solution vendors. He has also ensured that states meet Federal policies, standards, and certification. He has working relationships with representatives from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), state CIOs, and state Medicaid directors.
Ken was formerly the MMIS Project Director for the state of Wisconsin, leading Wisconsin’s MMIS replacement effort from procurement through production—including planning, requirements, procurement, design, development, and CMS certification. He also has over 26 years of State Medicaid Program management experience.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
