As Cognosante’s General Manager of Civilian Health Information Technology (IT), Corey Stevenson leads delivery and growth for the business unit, with a focus on strategy development, client and partner engagement, and leading a highly motivated workforce supporting program execution to ensure the successful implementation of key initiatives for Cognosante’s civilian health customers. Goals are addressed through effective client communication, problem management, proactive planning, recruiting and retention of talented resources, and ensuring the delivery of quality IT products and services.
Before joining Cognosante as Civilian Health Vice President of Operations in June 2015, Corey spent 17 years with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in leadership positions implementing legislative mandates and CMS priorities, including the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicare Contracting Reform, Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 (MMA), and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 (HITECH).
Corey’s expertise includes IT operations management, budget and contract oversight, and IT governance. He earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Morgan State University and a master of science degree in information systems and technology from Johns Hopkins University.
