Meet the Analysts: Christine Diamond

Christine Diamond is a Business Information Technology student at Virginia Tech, where she plans to graduate in May 2020. A northern Virginia native, she was raised in Springfield, VA.

Christine chose the Cognosante Summer Analyst program because it combined her interest in health and helping others with her skills in business and information technology. During her time here she supports Cognosante State Solutions (CSS) – a business unit focused on health interoperability solutions for state health programs. This summer, she hopes to learn and gain experience in consulting and the business processes behind it to better prepare herself for a career in business consulting after she graduates.

When she’s not updating Excel spreadsheets and researching Medicaid waivers, Christine enjoys cooking, baking, travelling, and trying different cuisines. She also enjoys playing soccer both at home and at school where she plays on the intramural women’s soccer team.

What’s something that not a lot of people know about you?

“When I was 5, my mom took me to Vietnam for a month. I don’t remember much about it, but it was kind of cool. It was just very different from what I was used to and kind of scary, but it was fun!”
