Learning from the best: YI Scholars visit Cognosante

The 2016 Young Invincibles (YI) Scholars—a group of eight first-generation college students—recently visited Cognosante for a “shadow day” in which they followed their executive mentors during the course of a work day and gained valuable business experience.

The YI Scholars participated in various activities, including a tour of Cognosante, one-on-one time with their respective mentor and a Lessons Learned presentation by each YI Scholar.

Funded by the Cognosante Foundation, the charitable arm of Cognosante, the YI Scholars fellowship program helps first-generation college students expand their skillsets through a 10-week paid summer internship. Young Invincibles is a national advocacy organization for young adults about issues such as higher education and health care.
