Cognosante would like to thank all sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who contributed to the 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament held on Friday, October 6, at Raspberry Falls Golf Club in Leesburg, VA. This golf tournament is Cognosante’s largest fundraising event, with a grand total of $30,000 raised and donated this year. All proceeds will be presented to Final Salute, Inc.
Final Salute, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization striving to increase support and awareness for homeless, women Veterans. Major Jas Boothe, Final Salute founder, has stated that Cognosante helps “connect us with a larger audience and additional resources/partners to ensure every woman Veteran and child has a home.” With the help of attendees, donations, and sponsors, Cognosante was able to exceed fundraising expectations for this year.
Some of the organizations represented at the tournament include Lockton Companies, Associated Veterans, Symantec, and the B3 Group. Sponsors included Favor TechConsulting, ProSphere, GCO Consulting, and J.E. Richards. A silent auction was also held during the tournament. Among the donated items to bid on were framed autographs from professional athletes, entertainers, and musicians.
